Best vehicle warranties?

I am about to pick up a used Mercedes and wanted to put a third party warranty on it. The car has a full main dealer service history. What would you guys suggest?

Why not just get the 'official' Mercedes extended warranty? In my experience those are the only kind that offer anywhere close to the same sort of cover you get from the original manufacturer warranty

They're all thinly disguised insurance. Keep back some emergency money, look after it and save your money.

Thanks. I did buy a car a fair few grand under budget, so I have a spare fund. So no warranty is an option. I will also enquire about the official warranty extension shortly.

Warranty Direct generally seem to get a good press on the MB forums. I have one of their policies.

Do an online quote, leave it a couple of days and they'll call you and do almost anything to get you to sign up.
