Picked up my new jag on Sunday.
XF Sportbrake Premium Luxury 200ps plus long options list!
It's the best car I have ever been able to afford! Getting insurance quotes...
£400 LVE
£650 Adrian flux
£850 Jaguar
£12,500 ACE
Going to beat up jag insurance a bit.
The "Jaguar" insurance quote was about 4 times higher than the other quotes I got for the XKR, even without moving my no claims discount. It was so high I just thought they were just having a laugh. Not quite as funny as that "ACE" quote you got though.XF Sportbrake Premium Luxury 200ps plus long options list!

Jaguar £1200
Direct line £300
difficult choice.

Jaguar insurance refused to give me the standard free 7 day cover for my XJ SuperSport as they don't insure cars worth more than £50k! And I'm 40+, with 9yrs no claims!
(I'm with Direct Line, by the way)
I've just insured my customers F-Type for him with Jaguar insurance and that's over £70k.(I'm with Direct Line, by the way)
Have you read the T&C's with Direct Line? They don't have to use genuine parts to repair your car.
There is usually a reason why they are more expensive than the majority of sites / insurers.

Thanks for the heads-up on that. It's worth bearing in mind, and probably the reason that they were so cross with me when my local bodyshop repaired the wife's car.Have you read the T&C's with Direct Line? They don't have to use genuine parts to repair your car.

I did think it was odd of Jaguar Insurance to refuse to insure me on one of their own cars. Perhaps there was something else to it that they weren't telling me.
Pics of the car please
Looked at one, but jag dealer was an arse, more interest in showing us his incorrectly speced version on the video wall rather than the correctly spec'd real car in the show room!
And was offered a test drive in a week.
Very different experience from Audi & BMW. Where they were keen to get you into a test drive and happy to talk numbers
Ended up in an A6 avant

Same here. And I am pretty happy with them as the last renewal quote was fair. (Nice change to where I previously was.)10 years no claims and living in a bit of a remote area. For the XF I am currently paying around £275 a year for full comprehensive. Worth noting that the misses car is also insured with them, which brings a bit of a group discount.
Not sure how they are if something goes wrong, so far never needed to make a claim thankfully.
