Replace the timing belt.... again?

Need to remove the head from my A6 as the head gasket has gone - this will involve removing the timing belt.

I replaced it less than 100 miles ago but a mate reckons it'll need another new one to be on the safe side when I reassemble it - thoughts?

Should be fine, I've put used belts back on my own cars a number of times and never had an issue.

The old one should be fine if it's that new.

No need to replace after 100 miles use .

It will be fine, just mark it for direction of rotation and put it back the same way it came off.
