Hi chaps,

I'm investigating wheels, talking to (or will be) manufacturers and suppliers, but stuck away from beastie at the moment... I'm after the size (diameter) of the centre bore on Estorils (although I'd guess the Imola's will be the same).. I'm OK with wheel diameters, offsets, rim widths, and PCD, but I'm missing the centre bore dimension..

Can anyone help???

Will post findings of investigations if I can get some meaningfull responses back from companies...

TIA,

Chilli smile

For others looking, it matters because a lot of apparently otherwise suitable 4 stud wheels are only 58-60mm centre bore, which immediately rules them out. Too big is ok, too small definitely not.

Touch´e Anthony biggrin

I've undertaken this little exercise because although I love the Estorils, and haven't seen anything more suited to the car (except maybe AZEV A's and the Compo's that Peter had on the blue Chim) I feel there must be wheels out there that would 'super enhance' the car... Something a bit more retro... I have an idea in my head but I can't explain what the wheels look like... I'm scouring pictures of older classics and race cars, trying to find something that might be reproduced, and look the dogs danglies on the Chim...

There seems to be limited options when it comes to wheels that will fit our cars, and apart from the above mentioned wheels, non of the other offerings really do it for me... I love the dished look, particularly some of the Halibrand wheels that suit the Cobra so well...

Anyway, anyone wants to chip in with some ideas please feel free.. Personally I'd be willing to spend good money if I could find the right design....

Group buy anyone??

Cheers all,

Chilli

Presumably a modern take on the early Griff style (BBS) wheels don't appeal?
http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.asp...

They come in silver, gold centres, or like this, and are 17 x 7.5 J at around £100 a wheel

Very nice!

These guys have some great designs, and according to the website (which has lots of great photos including some TVR's) they can build to your specification..

I particularly like the BRM6, but not sure that spinners would suit the Chim scratchchin

I do realise that you live in East Anglia......but Boudicca-style spinners might be a bit too retro even for you? hehe

Anything really deep dished is shirley going to give you offset problems....or the tyre rubbing on the wheel arch?
