Robert Welch Knives

Does anyone have any experience of the above knives?

Was able to get the feel of a demonstration (perspex sheathed) knife from the range in John Lewis today, and was impressed. Seemed well balanced,easy to use.

Have not a clue who Robert Welch is, if its not just a marketing tool , but are the knives good, or just spiel?

Any impressions anyone?

Robert Welch have been around for a very long time as a dining cutlery manufacturer. I believe that their foray into chefs knives is recent. I have had their cutlery for a long time and it is high quality but have never seen or used their chefs knives.

We have a set of stainless cutlery and we are very pleased with it.

We alos have a set of silver, but use the stainless more often!

If it's these your talking about I have six and this is a must have. Awesome knive 4 years iv had it.

Thats the jokers, did feel very well in the hand, balanced, just felt right. Do they hold their edge well? Anything in particular about sharpening them?

Yes very well used daily and only ever sharpened with a Steel. The carving knife is lovely too. Avoid the smallest vegetable knife though don't really use mine.

Add another satisfied cutlery owner (had to be done - Sheffield steel ).
