It has been known to happen that the rain stops from time to time, rare as it is.

Nigel ,I and a lot of other very local folks had a lot of good times in the area a lot of years ago. These were the years of the Leven Hotel Barn dances ,and other Onich facilities, you might not of heard of. My mate sold his hill farm to take up hotel management elsewhere. This was way back in the very late 60's where every summer girl from the Islands took up posts in the local hotels every year. We local lads got to know the girls and yearly we had a great time, with no strings attached with a lot of the local farm laborers involved. Me. I knew many lasses in the community and we had many a great night out, before I got hooked on one lass working in a local place. We've been married for over 45 years now .We met at a barn dance.
