Looking for a little advice

I'm in the process of looking a a few Elise S2 cars and would just like a little bit of advice on the following bits. I've had a long look through web sites etc and have a good idea of what to look for but some things are confusing.

Cam belt change, from looking around it's recommended that this be done after four years not six?

On a race tech can the funny little glass things that replace the driving lights be replaced for driving lights easily? Is all the wiring there already?

Hello! I'm not sure what you mean by the funny little glass things. I had an early racetech. They were fitted with smaller more solid glass looking driving lights. I think that's probably what you are talking about. If you wanted to upgrade them to the larger style driving lamp I'm sure this would not be a problem.

Yes, Lotus now recommend Cambelt change every four years or 54k miles.

they are indeed...oh, and they were replaced on later cars with a cheaper version...Lotus has something of a habit of early cars getting some 'better' bits and pieces than later ones. same reason the lettering on the back became a badge....
