Analogue Clock Gremlins
Discussion
Hi All,
With the recent clock change I got in the DB9 today for some roof down action in the sunshine.... I changed the clock on the digital menu for british summer time, and waited for the analogue clock to move... nothing... the digital time is correct, but the analogue is still showing an hour behind... its working fine just on the wrong time.... am I doing something wrong ?

I had this problem with my Vantage, dealer told me it was not uncommon and to do a battery disconnect, this fixed it, but I had to reset the windows (easy to do, it's in the handbook.
The clock is controlled from the sat nav, there is no way to manually change it if it gets out of sync.

I'm obviously missing something as thought the analogue clock is controlled manually? There is a hole on either side to wind it in the required direction (using a pin / pen etc)
Old style center console has holes either side of the clock for adjustment, new console does not. For those, time is adjusted in a settings menu. The clock is controlled automatically from the sat nav on the latest cars, there is no menu option or buttons to adjust it. They can and do get out of sync and a battery disconnect fixes it. I had this very problem a couple of times on a 12.25MY Vantage. Cars with no sat nav (I have never actually seen one) still have a menu option.

thread resurrection..my analog clock (09DB9) was always 6 or so minutes out...ie when you set it to 3:30 the hands went to 3:36 while the satnav showed 3:30...troubleshooting a different issue..removing and replacing cabin fuse 56 caused my analog clock to reset to the correct time.
Now if anyone knows why I might have lost random electrical bits in one go...satnav door doesn't open, tune2air has no power, phone won't pair, no radio..all cabin fuses seem ok..

Do you hear the motor whir? If so, likely your gears are broken. Aston bits have a kit to fix it.mrpseudonym said:

Aftermarket? Has it ever worked? Fuse?mrpseudonym said:

Has it ever worked? Do you get the voice menu for bluetooth? Is your phone compatible? It's all related. Everything was working fine last time I got in the car. My first thought was fuse, but all the relevant fuses are ok. My guess now is one of the wiring loom connectors has worked loose. Service this week so I will let them sort it out. But..at least the clock is right and man had that been bugging me!
