Who drives the most powerful car and what MPG for commuting?

I'll start I get 17-19mpg on Super 98RON doing 15k a year and drive a 450bhp v8 twin turbo (I use it for everything and really enjoy it)

Conversely at the other end of the spectrum I have driven a 70bhp volvo which didn't deliver much more than 30mpg.

On my daily (which does about 12k a year) I get 16mpg on Super Unleaded. It's a 1.3 Rotary.

03 WRX running on Super juice - daily driver - 350 miles per week minimum.

28-29 mpg.

Recently sold a 7 litre V8 (505bhp) that makes your 17mpg look positively frugal
Was doing around 90 miles a day.

You could get respectable MPG out of it - but it involved you not touching the loud pedal.

I'm going to call bullst just because you have a reputation for bullst... I don't get why a finance guy wouldn't use the cheaper car in their PH garage.

Because the other cars the wife's and I do like to drive my cars - otherwise I'd have a Kia Picanto or such like adequate for transport function but doesn't make you smile.

(Fuel costs are high - however oddly the total PCM cost of this car v my 330d is more or less exactly the same... Go figure..

I'll add today on the road came upon the current M5 who was evidently in a playful mood blasting from roundabout to roundabout - I joined in for a bit and had a lot of enjoyment/couldn't even try to do that in my wife's car.

Are you having the 98RON fuel blended for you?

All the main fuel stations sell 95, 97 or 99.

Or are you doing a half and half?

I use She'll Nitro+ (not sure the Ron rating but its "super unleaded"in the main or Tesco Momentum 99.
I do wonder why I cannot use normal unleaded now and again say over particulariy bad winter months when hooning is out of the question.
