Sinus Problems
Discussion
I had a tooth which had previously been root canal treated removed earlier this year. I'm awaiting a crown to be fitted but due to what I believe to be associated sinus problems I've held off on having it fitted for now.
After the tooth was removed, I had a bad smell on the same side (left). My dentist advised that the gum has healed as one would expect and the smell eventually passed. Last week I had a CT scan of my sinuses and I await the results. I was prescribed Avamys nasal spray in the meantime but it has had no effect.
I've had a bad cold for the last week which has resulted in both a blocked and at times, runny nose. Now, I have pressure under my right eye so I think both sinuses are affected. I have never had any pain or post nasal drip.
My ENT consultant advised that surgery would probably be necessary if the CT scan shows anything significant.
Just wondered if anyone has suffered anything similar and what the outcome was.
Cheers
