Hi guys
Im finally in a position to buy my new car
THere is a light blue Tamora that has been for sale for some time on the pistonheads classifieds £19995
I've noticed a few people looking at cars recently and was wondering if anyone had looked at this one ?
Or if anyone has any thoughts on it your insight would be much appreciated

Schmoo IIRC have a good reputation. Car looks nice, barely turned a wheel since 2009 judging by the history but still serviced on time.
Low mileage and appears to be good condition it's certainly worth a look.

I was hoping someone had already viewed it as it's a very long way to go and didn't want to waste my time if someone else had noticed any problems

These are very few and far between. I actually travelled from the South Wales border to Ipswich last October to view a Tam. Long drive, back and forth twice, but ultimately worth it.

This was one of the two Tamora's I looked at at test drove before deciding on mine, back in August I think it was last year.
Firstly the chap who sells them is really nice, super hospitable and he only really sells TVR's, but he's not linked directly with a main dealer and told me that his local mechanic looks after 'his' cars.
Externally I would say the car is indeed in good condition, and I would say you would be happy to have one that looked in as good a condition. The interior was 'ok' for my standards, certainly nothing that a weekends TLC can't rectify and tidy up. (I am a bit OCD when it comes to cars).
Test drive seemed fine to me but it was my first drive in a Tamora. There were a couple of 'fault' codes on the dash (which I admit I raised as a concern) and I recall it had a glitchy RPM needle so I was concerned about having to replace dash pod or at least get it repaired. With hindsight it may not have been that bad, as I now know that when I open my door with a light on, TVR labeled this a 'fault code' - so if you go, just make sure you understand how the dash display works, cycle through the 'messages' and make sure you are happy there is nothing untoward there.
Ride was good and responsive, engine sat fine with no hunting, felt strong under engine breaking, climbed well through the rev range. Breaks were usual standard TVR with no pulling under load left or right. Temp and oil were fine when I drove it, the exhaust was sporty but not intrusive to my ear. I sure wasn't going hell for leather, I'm not that kind of driver on the roads, but I gave the odd quirt here and there and everything certainly felt strong.
I also didn't have it up on a ramp (I would have if I was keen enough to want to purchase it) but the outriggers were clean from what I could see.
All in all, it was a good car, and enough for me to spend 4 hours driving to see it, but I had already seen the one I really wanted and eventually bought, so I was really looking at it for comparison.
I did see it some months ago and I don't think the cars are garaged (I could be wrong) as it was waiting on his driveway when I arrived to view it, but I would say it's worth a look, just go with the mindset that you may want a reserve of say £1000 - £1500 to do some cosmetic things to tidy her up if you are not all hands on yourself. I saw it was last serviced by Racing Green, so you could give them a call and ask their opinion on it too.
