996 Turbo - sunstrip / PORSCHE

So whilst looking around the net for 996 Turbo stuff, notice some people had added sun strips. Now usually I think these look a bit boy racer and a bit crap on something like a porker, but I saw a thread about a gt3 mk2 that had one and it looked rather good...
So just go my black strip with bue PORSCHE lettering, i'll fit it at weekend, and post pics, will it look boy racer????? Has anyone else done this to a Lapis blue turbo... am i a fool to do this....?!!!

If you don't fit it well it'll look really tacky!
To fit it, get it in the right position, use bits of masking tape every 6-10 inches or so to hold it in place in the centre and along to one end. Then peel off the backing from the other end to about the centre and cut it off. Now spray the glass lightly with glass cleaner, and stick the strip down from the centre outwards bit by bit using a spreader thingy (credit card will do otherwise) neatly wrapped with a layer of blue roll (or other absorbent non-textured paper). Change the paper when it starts to get damp.
Once it's stuck (and there's no bubbles!), remove the rest of the backing and stick the rest down the same way. Use a Stanley knife blade to carefully trim around the edge right up to the windscreen seal (for air-cooled cars leave it over-lapping by about 3mm all the way around, then tuck this under the flexible windscreen rubber).
