No 6 Plug Lead Removal

I'm struggling to get the rearmost plug lead off my S6. The top of the lead is in hard contact with the top of the recess under the scuttle before it's high enough to disengage from the location. Any tips / tricks greatly appreciated.

It is a while since I did this but I think a spray of WD40 and a good bit of pulling and tugging is how I did it. You can't move the engine unless you drop it of the engine mounts and that is not something you want to be doing and the bulkhead is not going anywhere either so not a lot of options really.
