I thought as electric power comes in we'd all want quieter vehicles, not noisy ones?
So a deaf pedestrian still gets run over because they're deaf?
A poorly sighted pedestrian keeps back for the noise added car but steps into the path of a speeding pedal cycle.

Can you choose your noise eg herkybird or lightning at +1.5

I'll do my bit for safety by making sure a pedestrian with a hearing disability can hear my car in his or her chest

So they still get hit and then hear it

Did the Daily Wail published it a day late?

Why not just ditch the tyre noise regs?

It's been a long time coming, and to be honest, it's quite hard to argue against when you consider the blind or partially sighted.

It'll only really have any influence up to 25-30mph, as after that measurements indicate an EV is no quieter than an equivalent combustion-engined car, it's tyre-dominated by then.

Another option could be to add a small petrol or diesel engine
