Flight combat sims and an xbox 360 controller
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm slightly nostalgia tripping for flight combat games - in particular Jane's f/a-18 korea, in general games that:
-are centered on modern combat (as opposed to WW2)
-involve carrier-based combat
-on the sim side of things, but without going into obsessive.
I've got DCS world which runs okay, although the controller mapping doesn't seem to be working - it doesn't recognise one of the sticks, and assigns throttle control to the triggers without saying it's done so, for example. No way of zeroing the stick either (at least none that works for me). I get the impression DCS world is still a work-in-progress.
Any other games out there? I'd consider flight simulator X - can you still register this? Or hope for/try and find a fix for DCS and install the appropriate mods/wait for appropriate expansions to come out.
Cheers.
