DB9 Michelin options?
Discussion
Any advice or experience on the fitting of Michelin pilot super sports to a 2005 DB9 would be much appreciated.
My car is still wearing Bridgestones, and although they have plenty of tread remaining, the grip levels in the wet leave a lot to be desired. The general consensus on the forum suggests Michelin are the best option, but unless I'm being particularly thick today, I can't find a matching set of PS 2s or 3s in the correct size.
Does it matter if you mix 2s and 3s , or go slightly oversize to achieve a matching set?

The Supersports sit in the Michelin Pilot range between the Cups at the very top (track days or dry days only) and the PS2. The PS2 were the best performing Michelin road tyre for years. This has now been superseded by the Supersport.
The PS3 is a poorer performing tyre, aimed at hot hatches and slightly better efficiency (IIRC).
Changing the tyre size obviously has an effect on the rolling radius and hence the speedo. There are plenty of online ratio calculators available to show you what the effect is and here's one I found on googoo: http://www.inawise.com/tyre-calculator/tyre-size-c...

I've just bought some Mich Super sports for my daily driver - I'm sure you'll shop around but the best prices online seem to be mytyres (you can opt for a fitted price and pick a tyre place near you that has an agreement with them and they ship the tyres to the fitter and send you a voucher - I've done it several times and it works well) or Camskill - unless you live in the lakes where they are, you have to arrange your own fitting.
I use mytyres as they're generally always have things in stock of all shapes and sizes and the price is pretty competitive.
