Knowing that the GT3 driver was driving in his mirrors, what harm would it have done to have backed off a bit, given the GT3 guy a bit of space & let everyone get round the lap safely at their own pace with no crowding.
If someone is driving erratically because they're feeling the pressure of you being up their chuff then a responsible driver would remove problem by either executing a quick overtake before things got out of hand or backing off & giving the lead car a bit of space. Common sense?

What a load of rubbish.
Driving a GT3 does not automatically make you a driving god.
Driving on the Nurburgring does not automatically make you a driving god.
As Dirty Harry said "a man needs to know his limitations"
If anything the chap in the GT3 should have let the Audi pass and he might have learnt a thing or two.
Years back when I really was just learning the ropes I was testing on the Silverstone GP circuit. Novice cross on the back of the car. I'd just crossed the start finish line and the red flags came out. I'll never forget it. Paul Radisich in a Mondeo was behind and I pulled over and let him through. At a relatively snails pace he showed me exactly were I needed to be on the circuit. I did not have a clue at that time. What a top man. I could have tried to be Billy Big Potatoes but instead I chose to watch and learn.

Where the Porsche had its first off is my favourite corner. So easy to drive Metzgesfeld super-quick and gain a gap on something far more expensive (as I am but a lowly pauper) behind you.
Having said that, the next corner is where I had my closest-to-an-off ever. Over-confidence? I think probably so...

I've been there when a biker was killed cos he slipped on someone else's fluids, it's horrible and sickening to know that it could've been prevented by the accidentee having a little more sense!
Crash at the 'Ring (or any other track) NO MATTER HOW INSIGNIFICANT IT MAY SEEM, you need to stop while the marshalls assess things! End of, no argument!
One day, I will drive my GT3 around the Nurburgring, and I'll have a damn sight more respect for the place (and other people) than this tt!
ETA: I've been there a few times, done an 8.54 BTG (I know timing is wrong) BUT, I still consider myself to be a complete novice!!! If ANYONE appears to be catching me, I move out of the way!

I did it a few times, but no more than 50laps done. I obviously knew my way around but there is no way I 'knew' the circuit. I got lucky having had a massive moment, but walked away with just four flat spotted tyres and minor underbody damage. No impact with anything. That was from getting cocky too fast.
You have to drive the place with respect. Leave your ego behind. Drive with some in reserve not flat out. Let big bunches of cars go off ahead and let faster stuff through. Stop before you think 'just one more lap for the day', that's normally the one you're either tired or over drive.

GT3 Driver absolute Retarrd!! Why not just pull over and let the quicker car through, its madness not too. I done over 250laps of the place and it is so dangerous and accidents can happen to anybody, but when you drive like that its only asking for trouble. Got stuck behind a gt2rs once who was the quickest thing in a straight line, but the slowest round a bend, by adneau forest there was a line of 25cars behind him and he never moved over til his lap was finished, a dangerous wannker!
