Need to buy a V6 oil filter that fits and so far have come up with:

Coopers z501
Crossland 547
Fram PH2854

there has been mention of a Sierra Cosworth being the one to go for though - anyone got an numbers or experience?

Go for the Coopers, unlike the others...it is possible to fit!

I was told to go for the smallest one, which makes it easier to get in and that was the crossland 547 which is off a DAF apparantly.(and thats what steve heath recomends)
The motor factors got it in for me

my motor factor got me a Bosch filter which is large diameter but flat and was very easy to fit. Can't remember the part number but I'll have a look tomorrow.

If you ask for an oil filter for a 2.3 cortina with power stearing, you will get the right filter for the ford v6 and it will fit between the chassis and the engine.
You may need to find an assistant who's achne has heeled though.

Have used Fram PH2854, Crossland 591 and Mann 914/2 all with no problems.
