Checked tyres 2night, the fronts were 29 and the rears were 30, so I've stuck more air in up to 36 for all 4.

Is 36 what everyone else inflates to?

Why didn't your TPMS show under inflation if 36psi is recommended pressure?

Because they were all identically under inflated. Certainly on the original TPMS it's not meauring PSI just any massive difference from one tyre to another. Only time mine has gone off was when I had a puncture. If all tyres down on pressure a bit my TPMS doesn't go off.

To clarify the position - the TPMS has a sensor on each wheel that compares the speed of rotation of all the wheels, so if all the pressures are down all round then the comparative rotation is identical - only if one tyre is low (or too high) will the reading show a variation and trigger the system.

Talking of psi's can someone tell me what they should be on the 19" V-spoke wheels? I've just fitted a set to replace the original 7 spoke wheels.

Thanks

And there was me thinking TPMSs measured tyre pressure. Silly me.
