National Classic Car day

Chris Evans was doing his bit on the radio, folk were phoning in telling him what they were driving to work in...nice way to start the day.


Unfortunately I don't have a classic (yet) but spotted a lovely yellow Stag this morning.
What are you lot driving today? pics please I'd love to see them

Never heard of this, I always thought Drive It Day (this year on April 27th) was the day to be out in your classic.

I've done about 60 miles today in the daily workhorse and not seen any classics at all.

Wonder if a weekend day would've been better for this.

unfortunately, my 65 Mustang is in the shop with a couple of small electrical issues and is awaiting a new MOT, otherwise I would have driven her to work today.

I don't have an MOT until tomorrow (with a bit of luck) so it wasn't going to work for me. Oh, and I work from home in any case.

It's something he's been promoting on his radio show - drive your classic to work and make a donation to Children in Need. It was originally going to be last Friday, then several people got in touch to point out that a lot of classics aren't taxed until April 1st.

Ive done this everyday for the last 2 months its much more fun than driving a modern.

I didn't know about this but I did drive the Alfa down to Edinburgh and back toady around a 220 mile round trip. Was a mingling day up here as well but it was still great to drive her as always

I'd heard about it,from the radio and from PH too.

So I took my Fiat to work,I was going to drive it tomorrow anyway.

I can't do pics from this phone ( till someone shows me how).......

I enjoyed hearing all the people on the radio this morning talking about their classics as I drove into work.

Unfortunately I have a 27 mile dual carriageway drive and it's not best suited to 1920s bikes. And the sixties bike's tank is off and being repainted at the moment, I actually would've taken it out this arvo if it was fit. Instead I went to the pub

Anything to get more old vehicles out and actually being used is a plus in my books

Only saw the Stag this morning then a MGB while out on the bike this afternoon.

Really do enjoy seeing classics (cars and bikes) the owners are always happy to chat about their pride & joy, i'd love to own one somtime in the not too distant future.
