Forza 5's LaFerrari tribute: Time For Tea?

All eyes are on Ferrari now. The 918 Spyder has amazed, the McLaren P1 has stupefied and now we wait for the LaFerrari to complete this fascinating hybrid hypercar triumvirate.

Hopefully the drive opportunity will be soon; until then, this little vid produced by Forza Motorsport and hosted by Ferrari is a cool distraction. It features nearly all the legendary Ferraris (plus a California) rendered beautifully in the game. All are red, of course. It may be virtual reality, but it's a fantastic sight nonetheless. Try placing them in order of preference and see how long it takes...

One thing that the Forza vid achieves is to make the Enzo look quite dated by placing it next to the LaFerrari. That was perhaps only to be expected given the old V12 flagship is over 10 years old now, but seeing it side-by-side with its replacement really forces the point home. But is the LaFerrari a better piece of design than the P1? And which will be better to drive? Hopefully an answer isn't too far away.

Now that would be one hell of a car collection. Wonder how much you would need to put that together in the real world? £5m? More?

I'm sure it'll be technologically marvellous, but the LaFerrari ain't half ugly. In fact all three of the cars in the front two rows are.

I think it would have looked better with the older cars in the front and the recent erm more distinguished looking cars hidden at the back,

How much? My guess would be £35mm. There's some there that I would choose, others that I wouldn't and some missing that IMHO should be there (no 250 SWB, 365GTB/4). What I did see were, in no particular order:
La Ferrari,250GTO,F12,F50,F40,288GTO,F355,California(new),512TR,360CS,458,430,Enzo,250TR(briefly at 1m13s)

CGI or not, this properly put a smile on my face

£1m for the rest combined are you insane?! Just an F40, F50, F12berlinetta, FF, 458 Italia, 360CS, 430 Scud, California etc to get for that last £1m then... I wish you luck

First off, you've got the name wrong. Second, you may want to revise your comment about the grammar or have a chat with Ferrari themselves.

How ever it should be said or written, it's a terrible name. For that reason alone I hope it's a miserable failure and is walked all over by the 918 and the P1

Well technically the model's name is "La Ferrari" so if you want to do it right you do need to write "the La Ferrari". Example:

"He's driving the Clio" -> "He's driving Clio"
"He's driving the La Ferrari" -> "He's driving La Ferrari"

But it's really just Ferrari's fault to name a car in such an idiotic way that it makes us sound like a stutter...

While this game does look fantastic, it's easily the most unfinished feeling professional game I've ever played, by a large margin. There is so much missing, done incorrectly and unpolished it's disgusting, such as the halved amount of content, inability to sell or gift cars, lack of a working storefront and much more I could mention.

and from those, if I had to own but could never sell I'd have them in this order:

288GTO, F40, 250GTO,[need] 355, 458, F12, 250TR, [want] La Ferrari, F50, Testarossa, 360CS, 430, F50, [would have] Enzo [if I really must] and you can keep the California thanks, vile.

Mind you, still makes me lust after a 360 Challenge Stradale.
