Went to start the Tuscan today after 3 weeks and the battery was flat sh** went to open door and alarm went off sh##.
The battery is only 6 months old and I keep an Accumate plugged in via the cigar lighter.
When I arrived at the garage the car was just making a clicking noise from the dash1

My question is do I have a faulty battery (63Ah 610 A) or does the car have a fault?

I have taken the battery out of the car and connected my spare Accumate to it, I am planning to get it drop tested tomorrow if it charges over night.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Could be the ciggy lighter is isolated from the battery when the ignition is off, try clipping the Accumate directly to the battery , that is what I do in my MX5 ,another case of the battery only lasting 3 weeks if the car is not used

If the accumate is connected correctly you should have no problem, I assume the cig lighter has a fuse, check that it is working with the ignition off.

Will check the fuse.

The Accumate always switched to green no problem but when left for 3 weeks (without checking) battery flat?
