Interior light not working properly.

We were out last night and I noticed the interior light only comes on when either the passenger door is opened and when the alarm is un-armed. No light when the driver door is opened.

Where should I start and what could be the causes?

Any idea what the switch (s/w?) came from?

Just clean it up rather than buying a new one, unless it's properly broken. Take it out, clean the crud out and rub a bit of sandpaper on the contacts
