I heard Carl B has left the building? eek Not validated that, but will drop him a note and try and find out first hand.

Looking for somewhere (assuming Mr B is truly abroad now) that could fix me up with a nice new head unit (I have a decat sports on her so no comments about the engine sounds - the head unit is CLEARLY just to look at wink ) and want to get the crappy original alarm remotes replaced.

From my usual indie I'm hearing that means an entire new alarm system rolleyes so seeking out proper knowledge on the subject from he all-informed (that's you guys beer)

You can get new fobs coded to your original alarm mine had one done about 3 yrs back by a loca indie dealer with Meta knowledge shouldn't require the whole system swapping !

Abacus alarms sell all the parts for the meta system, not used them myself but no doubt will need to in the future.

Check his web site, he’s in France now but still doing TVR work whenever he pops back over here. He told me he’d be back in March so you’ve probably just missed him, I don’t suppose he’ll be back again for some time now. He is good at answering emails though wink

I didn’t go with him in the end & got a totally different alarm system to fit as the immobiliser gave up the ghost, it obviously comes with nice new remotes that actually work & a boot opening button. From my local specialist a basic alarm fit was £300 all in + a bit more to wire in the boot function.

If it’s just a new head unit (stereo?) you want Halfwits would fix you up with a DAB one that stood a chance of getting a signal in the Cerb. I was going to get one till I found I had bigger things to worry about in the engine.

Mine has a Clifford alarm which has worked well. The Clifford is well suited to the Cerb as like the car it works well if it is put in properly and looked after but if it is bodged you will be in a world of hurt.

if the internals of the fobs are ok, just swap the cases over.
