Small Amount of Petrol in a Diesel

Good morning,
for reasons that I'm quite frankly far too lazy to go in to Dad decided to pop 5 litres of petrol in to his diesel car, before diluting it with a further 60 litres of diesel.
I've told him he should be ok, but he is convinced he has destroyed his injectors.
So which is it?

I recently put £20 of petrol into my S60 at almost empty. I then drove it ten miles until it died, not realising what i'd done until i thought about it.
Mate recovered it and cleaned it all out, apparently i was very lucky not to have killed pumps, injectors etc.
Volvo S60 D5's are indestructible it seems.

Put some diesel injector cleaner in there, it'll further dilute the petrol in there and help clean the injectors.
A friend of mine went to Europe, the fuel attendant put fuel in for him, not realised that his BMW 530D was a diesel, and put 30 euros worth of petrol in the car before realising it was diesel and then put the remaining diesel in there. He rang me up, I told him to stick two litres of Redex or the like in there, park up at the side and hold the revs at 3-4rpm and burn some of the fuel off. It worked fine and the car never troubled him since.

I put 20 litres of unleaded into my Picasso from empty, got 4 or so miles when she conked out, unbelievably she started again, drove a further 3 miles before I realised what had happened, diluted with 40 litres of diesel, was fine, I think you're in trouble if you put diesel in a petrol car though.
It should be fine, as commented it it the fuel pump that needs the lubricant from the diesel. I have run a 2006 transit til to chugged to a stop once becuase I fill it up with petrol and drove 20 miles, they drianed it and fill it with diesel and it was fine afterwards. 5 litre in 60 will be fine.
If he is worried tell him to bung in 200-300ml of cheap two stroke oil, load of people do this anyway to diesil to add some extra lube to diesels fuel pumps, some swear it makes them quieter and more powerful as well but I haven't really seen any difference.
Anyway touch of two stroke ( cheaper the better apparently, fully synth isn't worth it) to allay any fears.

Put 8 litres on my 320d on Friday. Realised at the pumps and put another 52 of derv in.
No issues so far touch wood. Seems a bit more sluggish but otherwise fine over 150 miles.
Topping it up every 80 miles or so for the next couple of weeks though, never less than 3/4 full just in case...

Don't believe the hype. Or is it a case of irony not working on the net? In my experience French (specifically Peugeot/Citroen) diesel engines are unmatched.
