Advice on second car

Hi all,

been driving for two years now on a 1.8 Mk 1 focus zetec and have been looking now to get my second car but wanted a bit of advice. I've been looking for a 3 dr hatchbacks and have a budget of about 4.5K.

So far I've been looking at Audi A3's , BMW 3 series or Honda civic type r. I did also look at getting a 2.0 TDI A3 but considering id be doing less than 7,000 miles per year and very few motorway trips would it be worth going for a diesel? ( travel on average 20 miles per day ).

Any advice or experience with the aforementioned motors would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi! can't say i've ever been to keen on mini's, they just seem cramped which is something that is putting me off the A3.

The main difference between cars of this level is the "image". Consider what sort of image you want, then buy the corresponding car.

I'm not really to bothered bout image in the long run. Just after a decent performing motor.

Not too bothered about speed more bout reliability.
