Re paul dyno act

Rob, Paul phoned me today, i think he was a tad supprised.
Still don't have the final figures as it still needs fettling, we'll fax you the final graphs, but so far has made well over 400 lb ft Paul recons 390 od at the wheels !!! so possibly over 430 at the flywheel ?? no MAX bhp figures as it was wheel spinning with just Paul as ballast, i say Just paul
should easily crack 360 ?
BTW Austecs Dyno has just been compared with one of thoughs New axle dynos and is "bang on the money"

Not totally sure how much gain yet, i think it was just induction mods on the engine, it was there for a while for chassis and cooling mods to.

Andrew does have a point, looks like ill have to get some fresh figures on Pauls Dyno now its fixed, lol. Not to mention my cheque book out again - dam! - Mr Paul.S would have to through down the Gauntlet, or was that me?
Anyhoo, i got a sneak preview the other night and come on Paul.S, you really must get some polish out on that engine bay
No point being quick if you aint pretty!
Tim - im going for 500bhp 500ft/lb now without Nos so if youve any ideas, lets talk - ive got a few.
Paul.S - we really must meet at the Pod or suitable track day - what-d-ya say?

or God forbid...on a few trackdays!
(all those stonechips will give you plenty of polishing time

Actually the V8D engine is different to the TVR Power engine, the V8D engine has smaller porting and i think softer cam so will not achieve the same BHP, but they are IMO both in the same league, but both different and all credit to both engine builders, we don't really want to start a competition, although it would be good to get these 2 together just for a laugh.
It really is amazing how we are still finding more power after all these years and as Rob has now suggested a 5.6 !! now that will interesting .

Well ain't that the mutz. Best I built was a 5.4
You will have a heap of torque from that! Look forward to seeing the figures when it's sorted. Boosted.
cheers mike i cant wait my self to see what figures it is going to acheive, hoping for around the 450bhp mark and 480 ftib mark, i have been in contact with a few cam companies over the pond that are happy to grind roller cams to spec i allready have for this one and will be using the act triple plenum and airflow meter to keep the drivibility really nice aswell so i cant see why this figure cant be acheived!! still no match for the chevy motor though!!!

Don't know about that. The rover's light and just look at what buick did with the v6 Grand National once they got going! I saw a dyno chart showing 1400 HP for a drag car, yikes!!! The roller cam is a key factor here and if you get that sorted, well you will make power
no doubt about that. Hats of to you for making the investment. I chickened out like all the others. Did the research but the development costs were daunting. thing is, I knew it would work so lets bring it on

david if you are seriously contemplating the figures you mentioned above come and talk to me i dont bite honest!! i may have some heads you might be interested in? they were done by david vizard a few years ago but will need a bit of messing to get them to fit, basically they have massive 1.85 inlet and 1.6 exhaust the bolt holes have been slotted to move the head down the bore, the inlet and exhaust ports have both been welded and raised by close to .5 inch, if your interested give me a shout
