As A US buyer I have to get this motor myself. I would prefer to be able to build it myself as it would add to my enjoyment and save $$. These motors are readily available for $2200 Remanufactured. I would then need to take it apart to balance and blueprint as well as swap for Noble Spec parts. I have no real interest in changing anything that would not work directly with Noble's ECU. What are the Specs that are different from a standard motor? Additionally what comes with the "Noble in a crate" that US buyers get? I would expect to see a complete exhaust etc. Am I right to assume all I need is a long block plus accessories and transaxle? What about halfshafts/driveshafts/propshafts depending on where you are from.

Please let me know what I am missing. :headbang:

TIA
Mike

PS After my brief encounter with this thing it is amazing how slow my track prepared 350HP 944 Turbo S seems, I would expect a Noble to be faster on street tires that I was running 275/40/17 Hoosiers on all 4 wheels!

Mike,,
Have you purchased yet? I know the engine only costs around $4900. I am not sure if you will void your 1 year warranty if you build the engine yourself... If in doubt call AER maufacturing in Carrollton TX and ask for David Walker - he should be able to give you the low down - along with Dean at 1G Racing

Dodgy,
I spoke with Dean, at this point I am no longer really interested in the specs as far as building it myself. I was expecting the longblock cost in the 10-12K range not the 5K range. With that in mind there is no way to build this motor yourself and save $$.

Thanks for the reply,
Mike
