Help running problem

Car runs ok for a couple of miles then wont rev over 2000rpm, sometimes it clears other times switch off for 5 minutes and its fine again, it seems to be intermittent.Any suggestions gratefully received.

Do the simple stuff first :

Engine temp sensor
ignition amplifier failing after it gets hot
Flapper ECU 4CU fault, connector fitting
Coil operation when hot

Up on an axle stand or ramp (drivers side rear). Chock the wheels.

Run on a fast idle and observe the pipe that runs into the fuel pump.

If it looks odd, squashed flat or oval - change it!

You could try disconnecting the TPS and drive it to see if it clears..I had a friend with the same issue but wouldn't go over 3000rpm...Ziga
