Anyway, I have to say I fail to see the great problem with this one. I once got to my car one morning, after it had been snowy, to find that somebody had used their finger to make a drawing of a cock (ejaculating) and balls (with hair) on snow on the windscreen. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Mildly annoying, but it took no more than 20 seconds to scrape it off. Then I went on with my day.

Supercars, given how little they're driven, are far less polluting than a normal hatchback over their lifetime.

Scour the classifieds, the amount of 911s, Lambos, Ferraris, are all with tiny mileage, regardless of age.

Overtime, despite the higher co2 per km, the carbon footprint would far smaller (shallower? how are we measuring the footprint here?) than a normal mainstream cars.

The person who wrote it - was it the Daisy twitter person? - would have been far better to have wrote that on someone's 13plate car with 12000 miles on the clock, than a Porsche that probably gets driven a couple thousand a year.

Modern paint, somewhat ironically due to environmental concerns, is very soft. Scraping an finger covered in an abrasive dust over a black car will mark the paint.

It won't wash off, it will be visible.

That depends on whether you consider scratches due to vandalism a problem or not. Either you have very poor eyesight, very low standards or just don't know what you're talking about.

Not many people willing and able to run a Porsche would share your view of what's a problem and what isn't in this regard.

Well, I can't guarantee I'm correct, because I'm going only by a (not especially high resolution) photo, but it looks like somebody used their finger to write in the dust. Car paint is actually pretty resilient, and this sort of thing is highly unlikely to cause any lasting damage. A bit of finger grease (assuming they weren't wearing gloves) and some smeary dust will wash out.

I'm fine for the definition of vandalism to encompass this sort of thing. Based on the evidence it just don't look to me like enough damage has been caused (in fact I'm not even sure that something that will wash out counts as "damage" in the first place...) to get seriously worked up about it.

The marring and scratches it's inflicted won't wash off though.
