US newbie member with some questions
Discussion
I recently met up with an ultima GTR at a track here in New York. He managed to get by my Ferrari 360 Challenge on a straightaway. After speaking with the owner and doing much research I have sold the 360 and would now like a GTR for trackdays.
I have neither the ability, time or patience to build one, but have seen a number of them on sale in the UK. There are only a handful here in the US. I am interested in purchasing a fully built and completed GTR and importing it to New York. It does not need to be road legal (though that would be a plus), as it will be primarily used for track days. A few questions:
1) I am 6'4". Will I fit into a GTR with a helmet?
2) Have any of you exported or sold cars to anyone in the USA, and if so, how complicated is it?
3) Are any of you tracking your cars regularly, and if so, are they proving reliable?
4) Is it fairly easy to convert to left hand drive?
Ultrasimon- I sent you an email via this website expressing interest in your car. Have not heard back from you. If you are still interested in selling it please PM me or email to ssjsolomon@aol.com
Thanks to all for any help you can give.

1. You need the lowered floor if you are 6'4 but you will fit, or have a canam
2. Racecar regularly cross the Atlanic both ways, I would see no problems there
3. Track cars you would need rose-joint suspension and a dry sump system and lsd
4. I would say lhd conversion could be done but it would not be easy but why do this , just ask the factory and they will build it to your spec in lhd
