Seeking some advice from the collective please

I am trying to trace the original dealers details of my 996 and have tried Porsche Uk and the dealers I have made contact with have been very helpful but they have no record of the car passing through their dealership

Is there a way in which I can find who the initial issuing UK dealer was folks or is it simply an issue of emailing every Uk dealer?

Kind regards all

Unfortunately Porsche have never seen fit to have a centralised database for service visits etc (inc PDIs) despite VW having one for many years now, so it's a ball-ache tracing the info you're after. I'm surprised Porsche GB couldn't tell you though - was it definitely supplied by a UK OPC?

Where was it first registered? That's likely to be the best clue.

Thanks chaps - Porsche did kindly provide me with a copy of the original build sheet and it details the UK trading partner as 9210000

Does that have any bearing at all as I have no record of the initial dealer.? - early history missing

Kind regards

If you still have the original service book, then the selling dealer should have stamped one of the pages and dated it.

Thats the Porsche dealer number.... Thats exactly what you need.
Now you just need someone who can translate that for you to identify the dealer.

If you so a DVLA request for previous keeper details (£5) you'll get a copy of all the paperwork relating to the vehicle including the original registration docs.

Hi I think your dealer code is a PCGB car, will have a chat with a friend.

Nightmare getting Porsche history short of writing or ringing every dealer, even then some have closed down, been sold into other groups etc

Hello,

Yes I know I'm going back a while, but did you ever identify the Porsche dealer for Code 9210000. The very same code is on a Porsche 944 VIN Analytics report I bought, and I like you I'm curious to find the original dealer?

Thanks

John

Got this from a web search. Initial trading partner/UK concessionaire will be AFN up to 1987. The UK distribution was sold to Porsche AG and which became Porsche Cars GB,
