Strange headlight happenings

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone can shed some light (excuse the joke) on a head light problem I have. One of my headlights stopped working but the side light still worked. I changed the bulb in both sides to some better quality ones and now the one that had gone works on headlights but not on side lights! I have checked the connections etc. Can anyone suggets a reason for this and how to correct it?

Check for a short in the earth wire at that corner.
