New cars at classic shows / events

Brand new cars that you could turn up at a classic show or event and not look to much out of place?. I've done a few events in the Caterham. Others that spring to mind Morgan & Ferrari.

I'd say anything that's unusual enough to make people want to look at it. I do lots of classic shows and it does annoy me when there isn't enough space to have a decent stand because there's a load of modern cars that don't really have a place at a classic car show. Something unusual is OK (and by that I don't necessarily mean exotic), as long as the show isn't full of them, because then it's a different type of show.

One of the organisers that I attend shows for now says that they want cars that are at least fifteen years old, but if it's a club stand and you have some people with cars newer than that, they can't make up more than 25% of the vehicle count.

We've got to encourage new people to start bringing cars to these shows otherwise they'll die out, but keep a balance somehow. One of our most recent new club members has got a Mk1 Focus RS, for example, and while I'm sure there are some people wondering why a "new" car is on the display stand, there'll be some who've just come to the show with their parents that are a bit more interested in that kind of thing.
