Veg oil 2.7 Nissan Terrano '01 Turbo D

Hiya. I'm new here - I'm hoping I can please draw on your expertise :-). I've read up lots already.

I have a Nissan Terrano 2 7 seater (facelift model) on a 52 plate that's a 2.7 Turbo Diesel.

I have been reading up and am not sure (mostly because of the year) if I can put veg oil in straight or mixed or if I should spend £300 on a conversion kit.

I understand the heat issue and assume that in winter more diesel than veg oil is better. But just need to know before I take the plunge that I'm not going to blow up the car!

Any tips would be fab please so treat me as a complete novice. I've traded in an RX4 Renault petrol to get this and really really need low running costs.

I would do a bit of research on it first. Maybe try one of the Nissan terrano forums, there are a few, as I'm sure they will be able to answer your question.
