I just used some 8mm threaded stainless bar and drilled the brackets below the struts. Mine was particularly bad, and was able to pull it back into line. Also has the advantage of any large items in the boot flying into the cockpit in the event of a head on crash.

why not loose the struts and replace with a bonnet stay type mod........saves weight and no need for a bar at the back of your head?

We've been thinking of the same sort of thing for our Taimar, but not got past just thinking about it yet.

Take the struts off and try opening the tailgate, if you manage that then hold it up with one hand while locating a stay!

Exactly its a heavy lump the struts work fine and hold it up beautiful it just pushes out about 5 mm on the drivers side so the stainless bar threaded at both ends sounds like the best idea
