Would foreign OPC stamp put you off?

As a general principle, I was wondering what people would think if a 997 that they are looking to buy has a full UK service history apart from maybe one stamp which is from a foreign OPC (with backing invoice etc, of course)?

The UK service history is already a mix of OPC and well known specialist.

I know a chap who took his 996 GT3RS back to Stuttgart every year to have it serviced at the OPC opposite the factory rather than use the Channel Island OPC. That would not put me off, where was the foreign OPC? Europe, Republic of Ireland? Or is the car a (RHD) far Eastern import?

The OPC would be in Northern Italy (tbd which one, likely Modena or Bologna, as I am still researching which ones are best).

The service is not even really due per official Porshe srvice schedule as I've had it serviced in March last year, but I prefer to have it done annually anyways.

Why OPC? In my experience the Indies are far better and invariably half the price.

I read the title and thought "nah, no problem unless it is from an Italian dealer" (bad personal experience but didn't have any invoices like you have)
Seriously though, if the service documentation is complete with invoices and the car is good, it wouldn't bother me a bit. My 5p anyway.

Its a foreign car! I suspect that many foreign OPCs are better than many of our own...

For me, not in the slightest.

All those german stamps in the books of the rare LHD air-cooled models that are heading in the 100s of grand don't seem to be any impediment to resale...:-)

In reality should not make any difference as Porsche has global standards.

However, I suppose it depends on the model.
If a mainstream model where plenty of UK cars are available, then unless priced in you may get the next guy also asking the questions like you are.
If a rarer, desirable model/spec and condition checks out then who cares!

+1 to It wouldn't matter at all. Your OPC service records go on the same database no matter whether it is done in the UK or on the continent and Porsche make no distinction so why should you or any potential future buyer care?
