Chaps and chappeses
Retired pal of mine gently rolled forward in traffic in his car a few months ago and touched the car in front. Lady leapt out saying 'Whiplash!!' Absolutely no visible damage on either car.
He reported it to the police and she has made a claim on his insurance.
Engineer has been out to view his car and confirms there is no visible damage. His insurance co. have tried to contact her and her insurance company for weeks but they are not replying to phone calls, letters or e-mails.
Because of this his insurance company have raised his £900 p a premium to£900 PER MONTH!! They say that this will be returned to him if the alleged claim is resolved in his favour, but this could take five years!!!
It has got to the point where he may have to put his car on SORN...
I've suggested seven day letter but apparently this will not work.
Anybody experienced similar or can advize?
Tks in advance

Bit more background -this increased premium came on a change of car (Ford Focus to Jag XJ) when they asked question 'are there any pending claims?'
I have also learnt that the ins. co. has rcvd a letter from her co. saying she has 'been to hospital' but they are 'not allowed to ask for a report' WTF???
