3 character minimum login name?

I've just went to update my profile, only to be greeted with the dialog box below



When did this start? As I'm rather partial to my username, so looks like I won't be updating my profile.

This has been the case for a while. You also can't use special chars anymore or spaces.
If you want I can manually update it back to your old name after your update.

That's odd, if you click on "zeebee" you can see my new profile, but "zb" is still showing my old photo.

Edit: nevermind, it seems to be flicking between the two at the moment, may just be a cache issue.
