While doing something else on the car, I noticed that one air filter seemed a lot closer to the inner wing than the other.

After a bit of investigation, it looks like the passenger side engine mount has collapsed. Not the rubber spool piece, but the metal bracket that bolts to the chassis. This is trianglular box section thingy that the rubber mount sits on. Looks like it rusted through....

Has anyone has this happen, and are they easy to replace by jacking the engine up a bit?

I think its been like that for a while, but know I know its there, I can fret about it

Yep, happened to me made the whole car vibrate to buggery in my case though, so I noticed it pretty quickly :P

The car has always vibrated, so I didn't notice any difference, still drives the same.

Where did you get new mounting brackets from? TVR Power?

Topcats welded mine up as one of them had snapped through.

Sounds similar to me - was it a big job? If I was back in NZ, I have friends that could fix it in about a hour...

Id be suprised if it took longer than an hour, it wasn't an engine out job or anything...
