Refused to fit my tyres!!!
Discussion
Long story short.
Bought some Dunlop tyres for the Mrs' car 195/60/15 and they came today.
Thought they were quite flexi but took them to the garage to be fitted.
They reckoned they were Chinese copies and not Dunlops and so I phoned the place i got em from and arranged pickup.
On my way home later I called in at my nearest garage and after looking at them said he wouldnt think anything of them and thought they were fine.
Anyone had this before, the tyre walls are very thin, around the rim itself is solid as normal.

Jesus Christ guys, it's very simple.
Bloke buys tyres off Internet.
One bloke says they're copies.
One bloke says they aren't.
Original bloke who has limited knowledge of tyres thinks the sidewalls are very thin.
No pictures or any other details given.
Now stop pissing about & tell the OP whether they are fake or not.

OP I really don't see how we can help you without seeing the tyres, do they drive or? Was the sidewall so thin you are worried about them? PHmember said:

Yeah, I thought same about first garage and during the convo he said he could have got them for the same money and also said they were fake, where can you get dunlops for £55
Next garage didnt think anything of it
Neither had same tyre to compare.
First garage fitted some tyres on my own car a cpl of week ago, maybe they are sick of it

Continental has shown that it’s possible to defeat counterfeiters by winning a case against several tire resellers in Germany selling the counterfeit stock. Though only affecting a couple of commercial truck brands, the counterfeiting is still of major concern because customers were buying inferior products that weren’t as safe as the originals.
