sorry to hear some knob has done this. lf you can feel it as you slowly run a finger nail 90 degrees across it , it maybe too deep to cut out. take it to a car body shop and ask for advice and see what they say before you start using cutting compounds like G3.

if you can only just feel the edge of it with your nail, but can't actually get your nail into it, then depending on how much clear coat is on that panel you can flat it out with 1500 / 2000 grade abrasives then machine polish it back )or somebody else can for you if you don't own a rotary polisher).
can you post a picture of it so I can have a look?

Try this guy here. I've never used him but have heard great things and is also a PH'er called St John based in Segensworth. If you go to the South Coast forum there's a thread there about him under 'SMART repairer Hampshire'.

My sympathies, I know just how you feel.

There really are some sad people out there.

Here's my post where I suffered the same mindless vandalism, I did my own repair & while I wouldn't describe the results as perfect I did make a huge improvement.

Good luck & dont hesitate to give me a shout if you want any tips.

Frecla G3. Boat yards use it on fibre glass yachts. Did the job for me on a scuff.

Agree, this stuff works really well. I never use the ear bud thing though, works better applying it with a fine painters brush from an art shop
