It's Kinky Juniors birthday in 2 weeks time and he wants an Xbox One.

Does anyone have any buyers advice for Xbox One Numpties?

He's currently got a 360 and basically lives on GTA 5 and FIFA 14 and has a Gold Live account with some Turtle beach wireless headphone/mic.

I've no idea on where's best to buy, or specifically what to buy.

All pointers gratefully accepted smile

Gold account will carry over.

I'm playing Titanfall at the moment and am loving it. You can currently get a package which includes Titanfall as a downloadable game.

Titanfall is essential my son is the same age and loves the game. It is very fast paced and I rate it too. Keep the 360 as GTA5 will not play on it, yet.

Titanfall is out for the 360 soon and doesn't look too shabby at all.

Granted it looks nicer on the XBone but is it really £400 nicer?

I'd be inclined to try to get him to wait until Christmas when there should be some games that are worthwhile buying on the new consoles, as well as a price drop and the possibility of 360 emulation.

I think you'll need an adaptor if he wants to continue using the turtle beach headset (I think I have the same one)

Good price. Anyone want a pre-loved 360?

Probably less than a buyer on ebay. Easier though...

To be fair the 360 version looks excellent considering the hardware difference. The PC version is a step up again, though I'd imagine they're running that on some fairly serious gear!

That Asda/Amazon deal is a good one. I never understand the pricing though. The bundled price is £249. But the console on it's own is £379!

And thanks for all the replies and the email (you know who you are).

Lots of food for thought - but bottom line, decided to go get one. I guess the TitanFall bundle is the no-brainer smile

Tescos price matching if you want clubcard points (for the fuel offer - this is PH after all)

As this is PH, you could argue that you should not use supermarket petrol, under ANY circumstance, as it shags your engine wink

I went for the Titanfall bundle and purchased from Asda in Farnborough this morning smile

Also got the headset adapter for the Turtle Beach X42 that he currently has.

Only downside is that I've got to sit on it all for 2 weeks as his birthday is not until the end of the month.

But thanks again everyone for all the inputs. Very gratefully received thumbup

No no no, it needs extensive late night testing to ensure it isn't a faulty unit as you wouldn't want disappointment on his birthday.

That's exactly how I pitched it to Mrs. Kinky, along with the hours of software updates that it needs to download hehe
