A friend of mine recently recommended Edinburgh Sports Cars in Dalkeith to me; he's had his TR6 there a couple of times in the last few months and said he was impressed. I haven't had cause or time to try them myself though.
I can recommend this guy, he just built me a classic mini from the ground up, it is a few months late but he really takes pride on what leaves his work shop and very fair to pay.

Bloody 'error 417'. I took my car there to get a sill sorted on my mk1 mx5. They did a really poor job where the sill started to rust less than two years later despite me not driving my car in the winter. The lip of the wheel arch that they worked on wasn't even straight. I also had to clean the interior as the car was returned to me with it full of dust.
What really rubbed took the piss was that I was lied to when they told me that they also had to patch the underside of the car too. When I jacked the car up, there was no sign of any welding (the car is pretty clean apart from the localised rust on the sill).
They also liberally chucked waxoyl over everything which I had to rub back to remove surface rust that was underneath. They got waxoyl on the paint too. Would never use them again.

They also worked on my mate's Zephyr and he was happy with their quality.I'm going out of the country for a few months or I would say "bring it over"....
However, this is slightly out of Edinburgh in East Calder but for a Merc he's the man for you...
