Hi Guys,

Been (and still!) saving up for a 111R and was wondering what the true OTR price for 111R+touring pack+hard top + metallic paint is. Been given the usual crap by the local dealer that we do not need to disount etc and yet a 5 min surf suggests that online dealers will come in approx £30.5K.

Any advice or recommended dealers etc much appreciated (especially if in south wales area)

Realistically finances will not be in place for a month or two so is it worth holding out for a March 05 plate? Are there any spec changes etc due?

Many thanks in advance.

Mark

Price is whatever you can negotiate - if they wont discount...or at least throw in a sports exhaust etc, then go somewhere else

I dont think the plates make m uch difference these days - Id get it ASAP and get driving it...had to wait 4 weeks for my Elise once Id test drove one...that was long enough !

tried internet companies. got taken for a ride!!!!! was promised good deal 30k with all extras. paid deposit. waited...............nothing. visited factory tour to be told they had no record of my order. got deposit back, but had wasted 4 months by now. in end helped by nice people at hethel. got exactly what i wanted(custom colour-laser blue), but cost full book price 33k with every thing. still waiting, goes to build late Dec.

AVOID .COM, I WISH I HAD NEVER FOUND THEM!!!!!!

Mod edit: Please do not name and shame on the forums, thank you.

I agree with the other post you'd be better off speaking to Mustard, however I brought a Ardent Red 111R from Stratton's of Norfolk it had a touring pack and I couldn't recommend them more, I was put onto them by a Internet company with no problem's, see attached address but see if Mustard can do anything.

I called around 8 dealerships and they all seemed to tow the party line regarding basic price, the only difference being the delivery cost which was in some cases nearly £800 and in others as low as £300. I did find that some dealers were more prepared to throw in extras than others. Important things you could ask for in addition to the basic spec you want are:

1) Armourfend
2) Tracker
3) Sports exhaust
4) Service (beyond of course the 1000 mile)

IMHO what is more important when your choosing where to buy is a dealers reputation for aftersales care and servicing. If you trawl through the threads you will see that these cars rarely are 100% perfect on delivery and from that point of view your best bet is to go with the place that has the best reputation for getting things sorted rather than is necessarily the cheapest.

Thanks all,

Really appreciate the heads up and advice.

Just need to start pulling my cash together and as most of it is in US$ the exchange rate has just gone through the roof - bloody typical!

Thanks again.
