Morning all

Have come across a slight issue in where 2 of the holes in the outriggers don't line up with the holes in the body. The car has had new outriggers and every other chassis/outrigger bolt is lined up beautifully. Its the rear outer bolt of the middle 2 on each side (if that makes sense). Its not even as if its close and some cajoling is needed. They are miles out !

The below is the nearside. The offside is identical. It also looks like the holes don't run straight down the length of the car, but are offset. Guessing this is how is came from the factory.

Its a bit late now to lift the body again, strip the chassis and have them sorted. I'd rather not drill new holes either, so would it be ok to leave these bolt out ? Just fill each hole, over and above, with something like Sikaflex ? Would having 6 outrigger bolts on each side as opposed to 7 be a problem ?

The hole just up and to the left of the yellow filled hole. Thats the forward outer seat bolt hole.

Its the yellow hole thats the problem. Thats the painted outrigger plate you can see, rather than the garage floor !

Check with your chassis builders, but my guess is that the shiny bolt between your fingers is meant to be instead of, not as well as, the "yellow" bolt, so any waterproof sealant will do to bung up the extra hole.

Sorry for the late reply. Had to pick up my Mum from hospital so had a few other things going on recently...

The shiny new bolt is mine. Its strange as both holes had bolts when I dismantled the car. Oh well, reckon I'll just fill it with sealant. Can't see the outriggers only having 6 bolts as opposed to 7 being a major problem.

Thanks for your help smile

The bolts should go into the triangular plates. Have they drilled both plates ? I would be tempted to drill a new hole if its in a flat place in the fibreglass and fill the old one (provided it doesn't get in the way of the seat rails).
The holes for you seat rails are a lot better than mine, mine are about 1" diameter into the square section... I need some stainless plates to reinforce the body.

Yes, the plates have been pre drilled. The strange thing is all the other 6 bolts (on each outrigger) line up perfectly. Its just this particular bolt (again on each side) that are miles out.

Thinking about it more perhaps drilling a 2 new holes isn't a bad idea.
