Has anyone found a reasonable explanation to the minimal stated weight difference between the 981 2.7 and S, 991 3.4 and S?

The S adds:

Larger brake pistons and discs
Bigger wheels
Different exhaust
"S"-badge
Xenon headlights (on 981)

Well for starters, there is the engine. The Boxster S has a 3.4 oppose to the base 2.7 and there is also all the extra bits that is required to run a bigger engine such as alternator (i'm guessing).
The 911 S has a 3.6 vs 3.4?
