SL 63 2008 model, a real drivers car?
Discussion
Hi all am considering one of these. I test drove one but obviously there is only so much one can do on a 15 minute test drive.
My purpose for the car would be to take it to the Swiss Mountains in comfort and then have a blast through the twisty mountain paths as I have done with all our cars. Will the sl63 be up for it or am I going to go there and wish I bought another Porsche.

Buy yourself an hour in one at Mercedes World - not far from London.

IMO you'll find SL a muscular but heavy GT car.

They're big, and heavy.
As ozzie says, more of a muscle car than a driver's car....but for what you're planning on doing it should be more than adequate.
It's no slouch and its not like you're going for a time attack or anything.
And that engine noise will have you grinning non stop anyway.
