Swollen cat paw
Discussion
Hi all,
I am hoping someone can put my mind at ease. Our cat appeared today and has a very front swollen paw. its almost twice the size as the other one. It doesn't seem to be causing her any pain and I have touched all around it and she doesn't flinch. She is more than happy walking on it and jumping up and down. I was thinking a bee sting?
if it doesnt go down by tomorrow I am thinking trip to the vet. Thoughts from the PH massive

If she were lame/ off food, licking it etc I'd say today but as no discomfort being shown tom should be ok, if it weren't a Sunday I'd prob advise a same day appt though tbh.
A sting is quite possible. Adder bite rare but not impossible would prob depend on your area. Mouse or rat bite also possible but I would expect more signs of it causing a bother.
Do have to be careful of issues like cellulitis with swellings like this or brewing abscess so appt am tom if not completely resolved by itself.

Will book appointment for tomorrow morning and keep an eye on her tonight. No chance of snakes here its too cold. Paw back to normal size this morning so it looks like panic over. Will keep an eye on her through out today. Should have said in the opening post that this is there first spring outside so she probably batted a bee to see what it was. I suspect she will not be doing that again
Thanks for all the input
