Insurance for me & bike

Hi, new to biking, I'm doing a charity ride in 2 weeks, 334 miles from Middlesbrough to Yeovil. We have 3rd party insurance included in our entry, but who would people suggest use for me & bike, just thinking if the worst was to happen and ended up off work after an accident or even worse !

I have no direct experience but dont most insurers offer some sort of personal injury cover? The third party liability covers you in the event of any accident but I guess only personal injury cover would support you if there is an accident and you needed to claim loss of earnings? If your bike was damaged, I'd assume you would claim on the guilty parties insurance?
